Prestonwood Polo Club High School Team

 Wins Central USA Championship 3rd Year in a Row

News Release -- Oak Point, Texas - February 23, 2015- The Prestonwood Polo Club High School Varsity team defeated Houston 13-5, and Culver 20-8, to win the USPA Central Regional Championship for the 3rd year in a row. 4 teams traveled to the ERG Arena in Houston, Texas to compete in the Central Regional Round of the National High School Open Tournament: Culver, Houston, Prestonwood and Rancho Naranja (winner of the Prelims).  The finals pitted two rivals, Houston, the home team, vs Prestonwood, the visitors from Dallas. A large hometown Houston crowed showed to cheer but Prestonwood's Vaughn Miller Jr silenced them quickly with 4 unanswered goals in the 1st chukker.  After that it was all Prestonwood as they outscored Houston 3-2 in the 2nd, 2-2 in the 3rd and 4-1 in the 4th chukker.  Vaughn Miller Jr lead all-scorers with 21 goals in the tournament, teammates Vaughn Miller Jr and Ronnie Puente were named All-stars.  Prestonwood advances to the Final 4 National Championship along with teams from Toronto, Maryland and Poway, California on March 13-15 in Houston at the ERG ARENA in Brookshire, Texas. Prestonwood Polo Club's Youth Polo program is one of the most successful in Texas and supports the growth of youth polo in America.
